Hi, I'm Nicki, owner of Tended Esthetics and an esthetician for over 12 years.

When I started, nobody knew what I did, or even how to pronounce "esthetician." There was no niching down. You did everything under the esthetics umbrella and figured out the rest alone. Eventually I found my passion and talent in brow shaping, and it taught me something I still believe: you can only be okay at everything, but you can be great at a few things.

​

What I also learned is that talent isn't what makes estheticians leave this industry. It's the lack of growth and support. I watched gifted people get stuck in hair salons where esthetics was an afterthought, with no path forward, no one investing in them, and no one talking about it. Some of them left the industry entirely. I've always felt a pull toward leadership and ownership, so I decided to build the place I wished I'd had: not quite a spa, but a studio made by estheticians, for estheticians.

Here's what that looks like at Tended. I take on the grunt work of marketing, operations, and finances so you can do what you're actually great at. You sit back, do your craft, make a good income, and have a life outside the treatment room. My goal is to help you grow quickly, and then build a career and a lifestyle that lasts.

That's why the rebrand from Brows N' Beauty Lounge to Tended Esthetics clicked for me. We were no longer about just one thing, brows. We became a team tending to each other, because we grow faster and taller in a group than we ever do alone. I still love transforming brows and lashes, but my heart is in being the leader I didn't have during my own esthetics career.
